Goldstock 2004
Now in its 7th year,
Goldstock is a national Golden Retriever Rescue
fundraiser that's held each Labor Day weekend at a camp
in Pennsylvania. Dozens of Golden Retriever rescue
groups and hundreds of Golden Retriever owners and their
dogs assemble there for 3 days of friendship, fun, food
and fundraising.

GRRI has been a
participant in Goldstock since almost its very beginnings, and each
year our volunteers and their Goldens return from the
event happily exhausted, and grateful for the outpouring
of financial support the event brings to our group.
.
This year was no
exception. Goldstock supporters raised well over
$100,000 for the participating rescue groups. Thanks to
the generosity of our volunteers, who donated items on
our behalf for the auction and elsewhere, as well as
GRRI product sales and the 50/50 raffle, supporters at
Goldstock helpd GRRI raise nearly $10,000. Since GRRI is
fully volunteer staffed, that $10,000 will buy a lot for
our Goldens!!

$2,000 came from the
50/50 raffle alone, when the winners, GRRI Adopters
Bruce and Helaine Taub, donated their 50% share back to
GRRI, in memory of volunteer Joann Smith, who helped
them adopt GRRI Golden, Rascal. Thank you again,
Bruce and Helaine!

It's this kind of
generosity that abounds at Goldstock.
As always, we look
forward to next year, and thank everyone very much for
their support!!
